What a success! 0

I haven`t been reading in months or in years! As a matter of fact I don`t even remember when was the last time I red something different than computer books! So, when I took a novel and started to read, I was immediately surrounded by my puzzled family.
“Mom, what are you doing?” – my son asked with a concern look on his face.
I was holding the book in my hand and I was reading it!
What the heck you think I am doing I am reading a book” – I explained patiently. He looked at me suspiciously.  My daughter, at the same time sent me a “LOOOOOOOOOK”. Than my mom came and asked me: ” What are you doing?”
I blinked. It started to feel a little bit embearassing. Ok, I choose to read in the living room, but not that I was doing a statement of any kind! I watched my kids playing with one eye, and with the other I followed what was happening in Elizabeth’s life in the wild Canadian North a hundred of years ago. I was in the middle of the most horrible blizzard they have ever remembered and Elizabeth husband didn’t return from his patrol for a few nights. Elizabeth was stuck in her cabin, fuel for the fire was gone… Will anyone from the village notice there’s no smoke coming from Elizabeth’s house’s chimney? Meanwhile, Kip, climbed up on the cot, lied on Elizabeth’s legs. She was too tired and sleepy to scold him…
“Mom! I am hungry!”
Is that a help or Wynn, Elizabeth’s missing husband??
“MOM!”
It wasn’t the  help or Wynn and it wasn’t Kip, Elizabeth’s dog speaking in a  human voice! No, the voice sounded too familiar… It sounded like like…the voice of my children!
Suddenly I’ve returned to the reality. I closed the book.
Wow!
What a success!
I’ve made it through the whole one page!

“When Calls the Heart” 0

Nov17

As you may guess, my own Book Club for the past month, failed miserably! hahaha! What a shame! But, new post, new resolution! This month I am going to read a book by Janette OkeWhen calls the heart“. It is a story about a teacher whose name is Elizabeth. I’ve already read a first book from the series, and I enjoyed it a lot. Too bad I can’t get you posted from the beginning! If you want to catch up with me, you have to do it on your own. It’s a great read and you will enjoy it.
See you at the Book Club! :)

I thought I will start something like a Book Club and read at least one book per month. For this month I decided I am going to read “Marley” since it’s our dog name… Let’s see how much fun I am going to have! :)
